I've been telling myself to go for a facial since, like, forever. After procrastinating for years, I went for a facial yesterday evening. One that I had to prebook a slot for a month prior. I was amazed. There can't be that many people going for their facial service at one time?
But when I was there, I realized why. I suppose if I were to opt for the one in Metrojaya Megamall, I'd have managed to book a slot sooner. However, I chose to go to SK-II spa counter in Isetan, The Gardens.
The facial session wasn't held at the counter itself, as per the usual at other SK-II spa counters. Isetan Gardens has built it's own spa centre with fully equipped rooms. There were a few rooms and I saw Estee Lauder, Kanebo, L'oreal as well as SK-II were allocated a room each.
So there I was, lying down on the spa bed being pricked and prodded by the beautician. The massage part was bliss, though. I just don't quite like the other parts that comes with it :p
The whole ordeal took more or less an hour and a half. I've scheduled for another session at the end of September. I've decided to try SK-II for a couple of times to see its effectiveness, before I try other options. MrDJ suggested Biotherm, whereas Su swears by Dermalogica.
This morning I went to see a neighbour upstairs, who opened up an in-house beauty salon recently, to do eyebrow threading. I admit I'm lazy. I just normally shave to shape my eyebrows. But seeing there's someone who can now do it for me, I thought, 'Why not give her a try'.
And so, I did. And dammit, it's painful. Lol.
The things you do to beautify yourself, eh?
